Summary

كتاب جمع فيه المؤلف كل بحور الشعر العربي وصوره النظرية والتطبيق عليها بالأبيات الشعرية، كما قام بتقطيع جميع الأبيات التي استشهد بها، ثم ذكر تفاعيلها، وبيّن زحافات كل بحر، وعرّف بجميع مصطلحات علم العروض التي تعرض لها أثناء حديثه عن بحور الشعر العربي. كما وضح الدوائر العروضية الخمس، وما تشتمل عليه كل دائرة من بحور الشعر العربي، كما قام برسم هذه الدوائر، وذكر المستعمل من البحور والمهمل منها، وبيّن مهملات الدوائر العروضية، ومثّل لها بالشواهد الشعرية.

Summary

This book is on prosody. It is characterized by its simplicity, pithiness and the variety of its poetic examples. However, the book in some other aspects might be vague or unclear. The book consists of an introduction, in which the author introduces the history of prosody and its importance. After that, the author dedicates a chapter for each poetic metric, in which he defines the metric, presents some poetic evidences, explains its proper rhythmic analysis, and finally draws a diagram that simplifies the understanding of this specific poetic metric.
