هذا الكتاب مهم جدًّا لمن أراد أن يعرف تاريخ الفرق الإسلامية من حيث النشأة والرجال والأفكار، وقد بيَّن فيه الحديث المأثور في افتراق الأمة ثلاثًا وسبعين فرقة وبيان الفَرْق بينهم، وبيان فضائحهم والرد عليهم وبيان الفرق التي تنتسب إلى الإسلام وليست منه وبيان الفرقة الناجية.

Summary

This book discusses the history of the different Islamic sects. The author elaborates on the well-known prophetic tradition mentioning the divergence of the Islamic society into 73 sects. He differentiates these sects, refutes them, responds to their doctrines, and decides the only one that is considered "victorious" or holds the correct belief (al-firqa al-nāǧiya).
